Meeting L Chapter 1

She sat there wondering if he would ever come to get her. She sat, Criss crossed with her legs on a bench outside of Wammy's house. She sat for what she thought to be at least 2 hours. Then her mind started to wander off into different places, what does he look like? Is he nice? How would he treat me? That and many more questions poped up into her mind.
"Hello." She heard a sudden voice say as she snapped back into reality. She looked at the faint figure coming closer and closer to her.
"Hello." She replied very seriously, not even using any happy-ness in her tone of voice.
"Whats your name?"
"I am Kathryn Yoshida, My mother was American and my father was Japanse. I'm 14" she replied with a small voice.
"Well, I didn't ask for that much, all I wanted to know was your name."
"Well I felt it necessary that you know at least that much of me."
"Well then, My name is L, and thats all you need to know about me." He said that with a grin and walked into Wammy's house. A moment later he returned, grabbed Kathryn's hand and walked to the car that was out front.
"What- What are you doing, L?" She said with a hasty voice.
"We need to leave. The sooner we leave, the sooner we get to the airport. The sooner we get to the airport, the sooner we can leave the country. And the sooner we leave the country, the sooner we will be in Japan and at your new home." They finaly got to the airport. They boarded straight-away and took off. She had seem to fall into a deep sleep. L was sitting across from her. He was studying her body and the way she looked, but not in that kind of way, mind you. He was doing it in a good way. He was looking at her hair. Taking in her purple clothes, what seemed to look like pajamas. The way she was sleeping to. Her head proped up on her hand. And she sat criss cross legged in the chair. He couldn't help but smile at the way she was doing all of this. It was cute to him.
When she woke up, she saw L sipping tea, with a pile of sugar cubes stacked in a cup on a table infront of them. That, and a whole bunch of different cakes and sweets. She never seemed to have a sweet tooth, but he seemed to. And he might even change that about her.She sat up as his eyes went from the window to her.
"Did you have a nice nap, Kathryn?" She heard a voice say. She wasn't sure if it was coming from L, from someone else, or if it was just her. So she just sat there.
"Kathryn?"
"Hmm? What?" She figured that if he said that, then he must have said the other. "Oh, yeah. It was fine, thank you."
"You can help yourself to anything you would like, Kathryn. And if there is something else that you would want, just let Watari know." He said that with a grin, as she looked up to see another smiling face. 'This must be Watari,' She thought to herself. She couldn't help but to start to budge a tear in her eye.
"Kathryn, are-are you okay? Whats wrong?" As the one tear was rolling down her cheek, she wiped it away.
"Its been a long time since someone has smiled like that to me. I can't remember the last time I've even gotten so many smiles in one day. None of the other kids were nice to me at Wammy's anyway. So I'm not used to this kind of attention."
"Well, are you fine with it? I mean if you wish for us to stop, we will. I want you to be happy."
"No its fine. I like this kind of attention" She said with a smile. She some how fell back asleep in the chair the same exact way as she did before.
